ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A proposed overhaul to Escambia County’s animal ordinance could bring stricter leash laws, faster dangerous dog rulings, and new penalties for repeat offenders.
“A lot of it was to update that and then just to make the laws more in line with what we’re doing as far as animal welfare organizations and what our community actually needs,” Director of Escambia County Animal Welfare John Robinson said.
