A man who went viral on social media for walking around Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood with an AR style rifle has been criminally charged, District Attorney Larry Krasner announced on Tuesday.
At a press conference on Tuesday, Krasner said that the man charged, Kobe Artis, was seen in a social media video handing over an AR style rifle and a handgun to a person who is prohibited from possessing firearms.
“The heinous actions of Defendant Kobe Artis are disgraces to our Philadelphia community. Walking around like a one-man army is absolutely intimidating, frightening, disturbing and troubling to witness,” Krasner said. “Defendant Artis is not a role model for anyone. His unlawful actions will be appropriately prosecuted and he will be held accountable.”…
