BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The murder of an inmate at Elayn Hunt Prison five years ago is prompting security upgrades at the Iberville Parish jail in Plaquemine.
The sheriff’s office is finding temporary housing for prisoners as hundreds of thousands of dollars are being spent to upgrade the doors at the jail.
