U.S. 30 back open after semi crashes into 4 vehicles in western Allen County

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A section of U.S. 30 in western Allen County was fully reopened six hours after a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi. The crash happened shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection with West County Line Road.

Five people were hurt. Medics took three of them to the hospital. The Allen County Sheriff’s Department confirmed none of the injuries were life-threatening.

In the initial investigation, the sheriff’s department determined the driver of a semi was westbound on U.S. 30 when it hit three vehicles stopped at a traffic light. The semi continued across the road and hit an eastbound vehicle. It’s unclear what led to the crash…
