Surf Bagel Expands North, Bringing Delaware Beach Brand to the Heart of New Castle County

Christiana location marks another milestone for homegrown company with statewide ambitions

A Delaware beach brand known for scratch-made bagels, fast-moving breakfast lines, and a laid-back coastal vibe is continuing its steady expansion northward.

Surf Bagel is preparing to open its newest location this spring at Churchmans Place Shopping Center near Christiana Hospital, marking the company’s furthest expansion into New Castle County and another sign that a brand born at the beach is evolving into a statewide success story.

The new store at 1103 Churchmans Road will become Surf Bagel’s seventh Delaware location, joining shops in Lewes, Rehoboth-area Midway, Milford, Long Neck, Fenwick Island, and Middletown.
