Louisiana gets $14.8M to upgrade airports, infrastructure

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The state of Louisiana was given $14.8 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation to improve airports and infrastructure in some cities.

The funding was secured through U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

“I worked to bring this funding home to Louisiana so our airports can keep up with demand and stay safe,” said Cassidy. “These projects help keep our people and our state’s economy moving.”…
