Community remembers Enchanted Forest creator Roger Tofte: ‘Let that joy be in you’

TURNER, Ore. — The man behind one of Oregon’s most beloved attractions is being remembered for a lifetime of creativity, persistence and joy.

Roger Tofte, the creator of the Enchanted Forest theme park, died in February at age 96. On Tuesday, hundreds of people gathered at the Oregon State Fairgrounds to celebrate his life and the generations of memories tied to his work.
