ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The owner of a Rotterdam homebuilding business has pleaded guilty to grand larceny in the first degree in connection with a complex check-kiting scheme. Paul Hodorowski, owner of Hodorowski Homes LLC, accepted a plea deal on Wednesday following a New York State Police investigation.

Hodorowski was arrested and charged in August 2024 for allegedly running the check fraud scheme between December 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024. It resulted in the loss of $1,544,652.59 to the Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company of the Arrow Financial Corporation.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on January 12, 2027.
