Elmira man indicted in fatal Black Rock shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Elmira man was arraigned Tuesday for his involvement in a fatal shooting in Black Rock in 2025, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said.

Amir Williams, 19, was charged with two counts of second-degree murder, one count of first-degree robbery, one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of tampering with physical evidence.

On Sept. 30, 2025, Buffalo Police found 47-year-old Samuel Whisonant dead in his home after responding to a 911 call on the 100 block of Thompson Street. Williams is accused of being a participant in the fatal shooting of the victim along with a co-defendant, 21-year-old Jamere Davis from Tonawanda, who was indicated in March 2026…
