FIRST ALERT: Springing back into summer-like temps this weekend!

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – After a few more spring-like days, summer-like heat returns this weekend.

A weak cold front is on the way and before it arrives, we’ve got a nice day ahead. Throughout the day, it’ll be partly cloudy. After a chilly morning, high temperatures will reach the low-80s.

This weak cold front drops in overnight, bringing with it a low chance of rain (20%). While a stray shower or two is possible, most of the Midlands will stay dry.

Behind this cold front, our air dries out and it’ll briefly be cooler Thursday and Friday. The afternoons will be comfortable with high temperatures in the upper-70s and low-80s. This is ahead of the heat cranking up for the weekend and next week.

Starting this weekend, summer-like heat is back in the Midlands. It’ll be a great chance to take advantage of cooling off in the lake or at a pool! High temperatures will climb back into the 90s.
