Grant will help Riverside pay for park improvements

Riverside has received a $6 million grant that it will use to upgrade Martha McLean Anza Narrows Park.

The money from the California Coastal Conservancy will pay for half of the $12 million project which will make it easier to reach the Santa Ana River and the Santa Ana River Trail, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Improvements to the 40-acre park at 5759 Jurupa Ave. are part of the Riverside Gateway Project Master Plan, which seeks to reconnect the community near the park with the Santa Ana River…
