Hayward family sues PG&E after gas leak blew up home, claiming they were not warned

A lawsuit filed Wednesday blames Pacific Gas & Electric Co. for the December gas leak at a Hayward construction site that injured six people and blew up a family’s rental home.

Attorneys for the Duenas family filed the lawsuit in Alameda Superior Court, alleging that no one — including PG&E — notified them when a construction crew hit an underground gas line near their home. Two hours after the leak was reported, their home exploded, with three members of the family inside.

Somehow, nobody died…
