Fresno Unified staff helps remodel bedrooms for family

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Staff members and school resource officers of Fresno Unified volunteered to help remodel bedrooms for a family.

The makeover was a part of the Healthy Room Project, an initiative that is aimed at creating “safe positive spaces, for at-risk children in vulnerable communities.”

School resource officers who knew the family nominated them for the makeover. The family was given new beds, desks, dressers, lamps and bedding. Also, new paint and personalized design elements were added in the students’ bedrooms.
