Officials: Man obtained drugs from out-of-state, distributed them in Upstate

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A Greenville County man has been sentenced on drug-related charges, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

A U.S. District Judge sentenced 41-year-old Bobby Tyrell Davis from Simpsonville, originally from Detroit, for:

  • Conspiring to distribute fentanyl, heroin, and marijuana
  • Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
  • Laundering drug proceeds
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Davis was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

In September 2017, Davis was released from the South Carolina Department of Corrections after serving a sentence for trafficking heroin. Within the same year, he resumed his drug trafficking operation, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said…
