WAYLAND, Michigan — Road workers were involved in a crash in Wayland, Michigan State Police say.
The crash happened on northbound US-131 at 140th Avenue in Leighton Township on Wednesday morning. Michigan State Police say it was a minor injury crash.
John Richard with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) said a van moved out of the left lane and drove into the shoulder where crews were working.
The MDOT workers were injured when they jumped the guardrail to avoid the oncoming vehicle, Richard said, adding that they “got lucky.”…
