GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – As Gadsden County prepares for a new K-8 school, some students at Shanks Middle School and George W. Munroe Elementary School are being relocated following a unanimous vote at a Gadsden County School Board special meeting Tuesday night.
The approved relocation plan is for the 2026-2027 school year. Based on where the students live, about 182 students from Shanks Middle are being relocated to Havana Magnet School, about 25 to Greensboro Elementary School and about 207 to West Gadsden Middle School.
About 113 students at George W. Munroe Elementary School are also expected to relocate to Havana Magnet School. The Munroe Elementary students are being relocated as well because they ride the same transportation as Shanks Middle School students, per a school district spokesperson…
