Sources: LSP Col. Hodges expected to step down

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Louisiana State Police Superintendent Col. Robert Hodges is expected to step down in the coming months, sources tell the WAFB I-TEAM.

Hodges’ pending departure comes as people in his inner circle tell WAFB he is interested in running for St. Tammany Parish sheriff or seeking appointment as the next U.S. marshal for the Eastern District of Louisiana, which includes the New Orleans area.

His departure from the agency is expected to take place in August, sources said.

Asked Wednesday whether Hodges is stepping down, a Louisiana State Police spokesperson did not directly answer the question…
