HALFMOON — Power’s Inn & Pub has been put on the market almost five years after its owner died following a day working at an outdoor summer barbecue in a heat wave.
The business will remain open until the sale, according to Cara Gifford, whose late husband, Bryah Gifford, founded the family business with his sister Charlie Cahill in 2011. Cahill and her husband, Jim Cahill, have been running Power’s Inn & Pub, in which Charlie was a partner, since Bryah Gifford’s death in August 2021; Cara Gifford owns the property at 130 Meyer Road.
The $2.5 million asking price includes 3.3 acres of land; the pub building; a second structure called The Barn that was renovated in 2018 to host banquets and other private events; and the restaurant and catering business.
