An effort to keep the Schuyler Heights Fire Company operating continued Wednesday night, as the department that has served a large portion of the Capital Region for 70 years faces a possible shutdown.
The company’s coverage area includes neighborhoods between Watervliet and Siena University and serves 1,800 residents. Plans to shut down the Schuyler Heights Fire Company have been under discussion in recent weeks.
