FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — For Jaime Mize, the news hit hardest when she had to tell her son.
“He couldn’t believe it when we told him,” Mize said. “He said, ‘Why is this happening?’”
Her son, a student at Sontag Elementary School, has a learning disability and works closely with the school’s family liaison — someone Mize says helped him feel accepted, supported and confident.
