Fresh plans proposed for abandoned Grafton restaurant

GRAFTON – One of Grafton’s most visible abandoned lots could be ready for new life.

A site at 92 Worcester Street – once home to Pepperoni Express, and before that, Burger King – may become a McDonald’s. Plans for the abandoned lot came before the town’s Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) in late April, with discussions expected to continue.

Matthew Eckel, a Fletcher Tilton attorney representing the applicant, said the structure would be 3,050 square feet – the “smallest possible prototype” for a McDonald’s location. The existing building would be razed, and a drive-through – two ordering kiosks, then one lane closer to order pick-up – is planned for around the building…
