Iowa City redevelopment project at 21 Linn Street back under review

IOWA CITY, Iowa — A major redevelopment proposal for a longtime vacant downtown Iowa City lot is once again being reworked after city leaders and community members raised concerns about the project’s direction.

The site at 21 S. Linn Street has sat mostly empty for years. The property was once home to a US Bank drive-through and surface parking before it was eventually purchased by the city in 2023.
