$13 million boutique hotel opens in Fort Worth’s South Main Village. Take a look

Tucked away in a corner of Fort Worth’s South Main Village, a new hotel experience is now open.

Hotel SOMA, at 454 Cleveland Ave. just west of South Main Street, is a boutique hotel with 31 tiny home casitas and four custom-built Airstream units.

“The biggest thing for us was location, finding something that is walkable to all of the types of spots you would want to go when you’re visiting,” said owner and developer Will Moncrief of Fort Worth. Moncrief is not related to the well-known oil and ranching family.

Moncrief developed the hotel along Sidecar Hospitality Partners — which he founded in 2020 — after acquiring land in 2022 and 2023. The project cost $13 million, but Moncrief declined to provide a breakdown for that cost. The project did not use funding from the city of Fort Worth, Moncrief said…
