Two dogs reportedly exposed to rabid skunk in Spartanburg County

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Department of Health reported a rabid skunk in Spartanburg County.

Officials said the skunk was found near Old Spartanburg Highway and McElrath Road in Woodruff and tested positive for rabies. No people are known to have been exposed at this time, but two dogs were exposed and will be quarantined as required in the South Carolina Rabies Control Act.
