DUNCAN, S.C. (WSPA) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation said that in just the first year since it opened, diverging diamond interchange in Duncan has helped dramatically reduce the number of crashes.
With thousands of vehicles passing through Exit 63 daily, SCDOT officials say the experience has become safer.
“This was first and foremost a safety project,” said Kelly Moore, Deputy Chief of Staff with SCDOT. “We’re constantly assessing in partnership with the highway patrol and law enforcement partners, where are accidents occurring and where we can make engineering improvements that will reduce those, crashes and collisions.”…
