Destin man indicted for false statement to firearms dealer

PENSACOLA, Florida — Bryan Klein, a 56-year-old from Destin, Florida, has been indicted by a federal grand jury for making a false statement to a federally licensed firearms dealer.

Klein appeared for his arraignment in federal court before United States Magistrate Judge Michael J. Frank in Pensacola, Florida. A jury trial is scheduled for June 22, 2026, before United States District Court Judge M. Casey Rodgers in Pensacola, Florida. If convicted, Klein faces up to 10 years’ imprisonment, according to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and Assistant United States Attorney Alicia H. Forbes is prosecuting the case. An indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt.
