TAMPA, Florida — A 28-year-old Honduran woman has been sentenced to over two years in federal prison for identity theft and false citizenship claims.
Nidia Roxana Maradiaga-Flores, of Honduras, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Steven D. Merryday to two years and two months in federal prison for aggravated identity theft, false representation of a Social Security number, and making a false claim of United States citizenship for employment purposes, according to United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe. Maradiaga-Flores was found guilty on January 14, 2026.
The case involved Maradiaga-Flores applying for employment with Archer Western-de Moya Group Joint Venture II in Pinellas County on March 23, 2022.
