An 87-acre, lakefront estate in Hillsborough County’s Thonotosassa area is on the market for $115 million — a price tag listing agents with One Sotheby’s International say make it the most expensive home in the Tampa area.
The Oaks Estate, at 12321 Fort King Highway in Thonotosassa, was built in 2012 by Lazydays RV founder Don Wallace and comes equipped with a catalogue of luxury features and amenities: two saltwater pools, a regulation-sized bowling alley and retro-style billiards, a lakeside go-kart circuit and state-of-the-art cinema and a dedicated 22-car private automobile museum to name a few.
Illinois-based real estate investor and former oil industry executive Steven Lempera, through an LLC, purchased the sprawling compound for $16.7 million in 2021, Hillsborough County property records show. Lempera later added a 51-acre parcel, which he bought for $3.65 million, to the property, records show. The parcel has greenbelt tax designation and protects the home from future development, the listing says.
