University of Kansas Hospital monitoring 3 exposed to Hantavirus

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KOAM) — Health officials at The University of Kansas Hospital are monitoring three individuals who were allegedly exposed to the Hantavirus.

According to KCTV5 in Kansas City and KWCH in Wichita, KDHE officials said all three individuals with high-risk exposure have been transported to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, for observation.

“Should any of the individuals test positive for the Andes hantavirus, the public will be properly notified, and additional information will be provided,” KDHE said Wednesday afternoon. (KWCH)
