Truck crashes into Kansas grain elevator; driver sent to Wichita hospital

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A truck driver was seriously hurt Wednesday after he crashed into a Kansas grain elevator.

It happened shortly before 7 p.m. on Highway 56 at the Pawnee County Coop in Garfield, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

A Freightliner semitruck driven by a 33-year-old Hoisington man was headed east on the highway, when for an unknown reason, he veered to the right.
