FOYIL, Okla. – A group of Studebaker owners drove through Tulsa on a Route 66 trip from Chicago to Santa Monica, stopping first in Foyil to see theTotem Pole Park, then through Tulsa on the way to Sapulpa for an overnight stay.
The core group was from Iowa, but other Studebaker clubs from South Dakota, Louisiana, Arkansas and Colorado were represented. They are among the first waves of tourists expected to drive the highway during the Route 66 Centennial.
