WASHINGTON — A D.C.-area trucking company accused of leaving hundreds of subcontractors unpaid after January’s historic snowstorm is speaking out — and pointing the finger squarely at the DC Government.
District Logistics COO David Hawkins told WUSA9 the reason the company hasn’t paid all of its subcontractors is simple: the city hasn’t paid them.
“I know for a fact that the things that were being said or stated weren’t all true,” Hawkins said in an exclusive interview with WUSA9. “We have not been paid from the city for our services — and that is the reason why this delay has happened, to where people are scrambling like, where’s my money?”…
