ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It was a road rage shooting that ended in the killing of an innocent bystander on the street. On Thursday, a judge determined whether the Albuquerque man accused of shooting will stay in jail while he awaits his trial. Rory Horowitz was arrested by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office last month.
Prosecutors argued that he’s too dangerous to let back out on the streets. “He brought other people into the mix in the public in the daytime, so this is about as dangerous as it gets pulling a gun into an escalated argument where there were other people who had nothing to do with it,” said Derek Berg, district attorney.
On April 18, around 6 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting where they found 21-year-old Roberto Pineda Arriaza shot in the head.
