Man hospitalized after rescue from ‘very dangerous section’ of Jordan River Surplus Canal

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A man was hospitalized after he got caught in a “very dangerous section” of the Jordan River Surplus Canal.

A spokesperson for the Salt Lake City Fire Department said that multiple people reported the man was struggling to get out of the canal near 2100 South on Thursday evening.

They, along with medical personnel, deployed a rescue line and brought him out safely…
