FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Authorities have released limited information on an “altercation” at Tim Hortons that ended in a woman’s death earlier this week.
The Fort Wayne Police Department responded Wednesday to “an altercation involving a reported battery” at the coffee shop situated between Lima Road and Wells Street, according to Sgt. Jonathan Cutler. It’s unclear who else was involved in the altercation or what led to it.
It happened just before 8:15 a.m. A check of the FWPD activity log shows the initial report:
Cutler said the woman, described as older, became unresponsive at some point before police were able to interact with her. Medics at the scene tried to save her life, but she was later pronounced dead…
