OCALA, Fla. (WFLA) — A fire rescue crew in Ocala rescued a kitten stuck in a storm drain overnight on May 12 after he evaded his rescuers by crawling through narrow pipes under a busy street.
A person reported a kitten’s cries coming from a storm drain along SW 42nd Street. The street had heavy traffic, and the call came in around 10 p.m., presenting challenges for animal services and Ocala Fire Rescue.
The fire rescue said a member of its crew entered the storm drain to retrieve the kitten, but the “little adventurer” went deeper into a narrow pipe. The rescue was paused until the next morning…
