Feeding the Gulf Coast and ECAT team up to help with food insecurity

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) – As prices continue to rise, many in the area are feeling the strain financially. Feeding the Gulf Coast is working to help those dealing with food insecurity.

“1 in 5, 1 in 6 people are facing hunger in our community. It’s even higher among children with 1 in 5 traditionally and 1 in 4 in some communities as well facing hunger,” said Kyle Schoolar, director of advocacy and strategic initiatives at Feeding the Gulf Coast.
