A 61-year-old Riverside County man remains missing under suspicious circumstances after his vehicle was found abandoned.
Family members reported Frank Torres, 61, of Pauma Valley, missing on May 12. Detectives with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office later found Torres’ vehicle abandoned near a local park in Temecula.
Based on suspicious circumstances, homicide investigators were called in to assume the investigation.
A possible suspect was identified in the case, Derek Arnett, 66. Deputies eventually located Arnett inside his vehicle in a parking lot off Pechanga Parkway. When they approached his vehicle, they noticed Arnett had injuries “consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”…
