MONTPELIER, Idaho — A minor earthquake rattled parts of southern Idaho and northern Utah early Friday morning, waking some residents but causing no reported damage.
The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a 3.8 magnitude tremor at 5:05 a.m. The quake’s epicenter was located just north of Montpelier, Idaho, near the Bear Lake region.
