Baby thrown from window of burning Kalamazoo home, caught by officer; mother rescued

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A mother and her baby are OK after being rescued from a burning home in Kalamazoo’s Edison neighborhood Friday afternoon, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) told News Channel 3.

The fire happened at a multi-level home on Washington Avenue near James Street, according to police.
