A speeding nurse from Lady Lake was arrested on a drunk driving charge while driving home from Orlando.
Alejandra Alezono Webb, 24, who lives in The Quarters Apartments, was driving a dark-colored SUV shortly before midnight on Tuesday on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at County Road 466A when she was caught on radar traveling at 67 miles per hour in a 50 mph zone, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.
During a traffic stop, Alezono Webb, said she had been visiting her parents in Orlando and was on her way home. The officer detected the “odor of alcoholic beverage” coming from her mouth.
Alezono Webb, who listed her occupation as a nurse, initially declined an invitation to take part in field sobriety exercises. When informed of the consequences of not performing the exercises, she reconsidered and agreed to take part. She performed poorly.
