DALTON, Ohio (WOIO) – The Dalton Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial fire in the downtown area Friday evening.
According to the fire department, the fire was reported at approximately 8:14 p.m., and crews arrived to find a heavy fire on the south side of the structure in a second-floor unit.
Crews immediately initiated an interior fire attack, but due to the size of the multi-occupancy complex, mutual aid from neighboring departments were called to assist.
The fire department said crews aggressively checked adjacent units to prevent fire extension, and the Orrville Fire Department successfully set up their aerial apparatus to the roof to conduct fire attacks from above…
