COLUMBIA, S.C. — Three house fires kept crews busy in Richland County on Saturday afternoon, with one sending a resident to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Columbia-Richland Fire officials said the first of the three fires was reported around 4:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Silverbell Court. The fire was under control in about 20-30 minutes.
Within the hour, fire crews were called to the 200 block of Kelly Mill Road around 4:50 p.m. for a two-story house that was on fire. A resident of the home was taken from the scene for smoke inhalation.
