The new Beach Boulevard spot will add another Jet’s outpost featuring the chain’s Detroit-style deep-dish pies.
As reported by What Now, the Phelps brothers said the Old St. Augustine Road location launched about two years ago and that they are expanding after building a solid local following. The outlet notes the brothers are Detroit natives who moved into franchising and have leaned on community sponsorships to grow the brand’s presence.
Beach Boulevard site listed as ‘Coming Soon’
Jet’s corporate store finder lists 5617 Beach Blvd, Suite 5, as a “Coming Soon” location, confirming the address in public listings. Jet’s Pizza shows the new site on its Florida store map but does not yet list an opening date or hiring details.
Owners’ local ties and promotions
In an interview with What Now, Bob Phelps said he spent about 18 years as a chef in the Detroit area before the brothers brought Jet’s to Jacksonville, and he described the Old St. Augustine shop’s $5 off promotion on its 8-Corner pizzas. The pair told the outlet they have sponsored Mandarin High athletic teams and other community programs as part of a neighborhood outreach strategy.
