(KTLA) — Loved ones celebrated a Southern California centenarian couple this week as they marked their 80th wedding anniversary.
Friends, family, and community members held a party for Mel and Jennifer McMullen at the Whittier Retirement Community, where they live together. Whittier is located in Los Angeles County, about 20 miles southeast of L.A.
Jennifer is 101 years old, and Mel is about to join her as he celebrates his 101st birthday in June.
