A Schaumburg man is accused of stabbing and seriously injuring another man outside a Walgreens at one of the Loop’s busiest intersections this week.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, was outside the store at 151 North State Street when he approached a group of men and an argument broke out around 9:16 p.m. Thursday, according to police. During the confrontation, someone in the group stabbed him in the back and fled, police said.
Within minutes, a Chicago police bike patrol unit stopped 36-year-old Alejandro Tellez in the 100 block of North LaSalle Street because he matched the suspect’s description, according to a CPD report. Officers arrested him after witnesses at the scene identified him as the attacker, the report said…
