FIRST ALERT FORECAST – Red Flag Warning for parts of southern Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A sunny, warm day today with afternoon highs a few degrees above the seasonal average. We’ll see a slight cooldown Sunday into early next week, dropping a few degrees below average as a dry system moves through the Great Basin. That system will also bring breezy to gusty winds Sunday, boosting fire danger across Southern Arizona. A First Alert Weather Day is in place for this.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect Sunday from 11 AM to 11 PM for gusty winds, very low humidity, and elevated fire danger. This includes areas below 5,500 feet east and south of Tucson.

Cooler temps stick around Monday, then we warm back up by midweek with highs returning to the low to mid 90s and plenty of sunshine…
