Kook’s Conch Fritters Bringing Caribbean Flavors to South Florida

POMPANO BEACH, FL — Kook’s Conch Fritters, a female veteran-owned pop-up serving South Florida, is targeting a June 10, 2026 launch and will make its first event appearance at Juneteenth South Broward on June 20 at Washington Park in Hollywood, owner Cassius told Business Debut. The business will serve Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties, starting primarily in Broward County.

What to Expect

Kook’s Conch Fritters will focus on conch fritter bites, conch salad and conch fritter batter that customers can purchase to fry at home, Cassius told Business Debut.

Conch is commonly served across the Caribbean, including in the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Belize and other islands, Cassius told Business Debut. She described the texture as similar to calamari.

The business is currently taking orders through social media, phone and email while Cassius continues through the licensing process, she told Business Debut.

Menu and Vision

The concept is built around a family recipe from Cassius’ grandfather, Kirk Nisbett, who is from St. Kitts and Nevis. Cassius said Nisbett first invited her over for conch fritters during Memorial Day weekend in 2021, and her mother encouraged her not to miss the opportunity…
