TDEM iSTAT damage survey available for Potter, Randall residents affected by recent fires

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Area Office of Emergency Management asked community members impacted by recent fires in Potter or Randall County to fill out the Texas Division of Emergency Management’s iSTAT Damage Survey for damaged property.

Officials said the TDEM iSTAT survey is used by local and state officials to gather information about wildfire-related damage to homes and businesses in communities during natural disasters. That information then contributes to cleanup, repair and recovery efforts as well as providing insight into community needs.

Important information TDEM wants the public to know:

  • This survey does not replace filing an insurance claim and does not guarantee individual assistance. It is simply a helpful tool used to assess overall community impacts.
  • By taking a few minutes to report damages, you’re helping support recovery efforts for Amarillo and the surrounding areas.

The TDEM iSTAT survey can be found online, available in English, Spanish, and multiple other languages.
