AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) — Funeral service professionals from across Georgia are gathering in Augusta this week for the 101st Annual Convention and Educational Forum of the Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners Association.
The convention is May 17 through May 20 at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center. Organizers say the event focuses on education, training and strengthening the profession while continuing to support families during some of life’s most difficult moments.
“We take this serious because this is like a ministry,” Martin Taylor said. “We’re dealing with families that have lost loved ones, so we’re always looking at ways to become better versions of ourselves and better serve the community.”…
